PLAY THERAPY & PROFESSIONAL COUNSELING SERVICES
Our unique experiences, personalities, and environments can greatly influence how we best express ourselves. For some people, talk-forward therapy is incredibly healing. For others, it can be hard to express complex feelings with words alone.
Creative Art Therapy uses mediums like painting, drawing, sculpting, and more to help individuals explore their emotions more deeply, process trauma, improve mental health, and explore personal growth.
It can be especially beneficial to those who have difficulty articulating their emotions verbally, or who simply enjoy creative expression as an outlet.
SOMETIMES WORDS JUST aren’t ENOUGH.
Whether you’re struggling with a specific mental health concern or simply seeking a new way to connect with your inner self, Creative Art Therapy can be a powerful tool for promoting healing, personal growth, and well-being.

How can Creative Art Therapy help?
Some common benefits of creative art therapy are:
Expressing and Processing Emotions
By engaging in art-making, individuals can communicate and symbolize their feelings in a safe and supportive environment. This can help individuals increase emotional awareness, promote emotional regulation, and improve overall emotional well-being.
Self-Discovery
Creative Art Therapy encourages exploration and experimentation, which can lead to new insights and self-discovery. Through the creative process, individuals can gain a deeper understanding of themselves, their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. This increased self-awareness can lead to greater self-understanding and personal growth.
Stress Reduction
Engaging in the creative process can be therapeutic and calming. It can help individuals to relax and reduce stress, anxiety, and other negative emotions. Art Therapy can also promote mindfulness and help individuals focus on the present moment, which can be helpful in managing stress.
Improved Communication Skills
Creative Art Therapy can help individuals develop communication skills, such as active listening, assertiveness, and empathy. Art-making can help individuals to communicate nonverbally, which can be especially helpful for those who struggle to express themselves through words. Developing these skills can be valuable in personal and professional relationships, as well as in other areas of life.
