Kerri Adams is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Registered Play Therapist (RPT), and holds certifications in family trauma, EMDR, MARI, perinatal therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT).
Kerri worked at the New York State Office Mental Health for seven years, providing therapy and advocacy for patients in the psychiatric hospitals.
She has a deep understanding of mental health issues in children, individuals, and families. Kerri’s ability to provide impactful skills gives her clients a confidence that goes beyond the therapy space. She is dedicated to the struggles of people on the autism spectrum, and specializes in mindfulness and meditation.
Kerri attended Ramapo College, where she studied Social Science with a concentration in Community Mental Health, and was a collegiate swimmer, making her uniquely qualified to understand and treat performance anxiety and sports-related anxiety. Kerri earned her masters degree at New Jersey City University and studied play therapy. Kerri has three beautiful children and owns and trained Dakota, our therapy dog.
